It bothers me that audiences have basically become so deadened to sitting through stuff like this*. I’m not saying they “enjoy” it, but they do sit there and watch it with little complaint. That desensitizing actually harms the alleged purpose the filmmakers would claim the scenes have.
Does the content reveal something of value or substance more than not seeing it would?
